In me there is a name
And the name is what I am.
Thou hast given it to me,
And I am not worthy.
In me there is a name,
More steadfast than the songs I singeth,
And the name is by what thou knowest me.
Only thou makest it true.

Sinun unelmasi
What are my dreams,
How am I to raise the sun?
When I write,
I write unto the sand.
Thou hast a dream of me.
Put it onto mine heart,
Mayest it burn from mine bones
The dust and the sand and the water.
How am I to raise the sun?
When I write,
I write unto the sand.
Thou hast a dream of me.
Put it onto mine heart,
Mayest it burn from mine bones
The dust and the sand and the water.

Rukous tyhjässä huoneessa
There is a voice on the street that sayeth thou art not of help.
The voice sayeth all happiness is within ourselves.
And lo, happiness can from mine heart be found —
But thou hast put it there.
Amen.
The voice sayeth all happiness is within ourselves.
And lo, happiness can from mine heart be found —
But thou hast put it there.
Amen.

Luotamme
Thou hast liberated me from death,
Thou brought me thy eternal peace,
Thou answerest me, mine heart,
Thou takest me amidst the people,
Thou showest me love.
We are glad for thee, Jesus!
Amen.
Thou brought me thy eternal peace,
Thou answerest me, mine heart,
Thou takest me amidst the people,
Thou showest me love.
We are glad for thee, Jesus!
Amen.

Tuhlaajapojan rukous
Let this be my last song,
Sung for mine own self;
And let this be the first of many
That in mine heart ring for thee.
The world's Creator,
The Lord of Abraham and Moses;
I believeth, I trusteth in thee,
I bend my mind under thy will
Although hard —
The will's in me,
The acts escapen,
Promises left as they are.
I want to walk to the promised land,
To see true the promise for my dire life.
It is so hard to believe that all is fulfilled,
All prepared so that I could be happy
By giving thee space in me.
Happiness has not become me, Lord,
But thou hast come and art everything,
And I am everything with thee.
Sung for mine own self;
And let this be the first of many
That in mine heart ring for thee.
The world's Creator,
The Lord of Abraham and Moses;
I believeth, I trusteth in thee,
I bend my mind under thy will
Although hard —
The will's in me,
The acts escapen,
Promises left as they are.
I want to walk to the promised land,
To see true the promise for my dire life.
It is so hard to believe that all is fulfilled,
All prepared so that I could be happy
By giving thee space in me.
Happiness has not become me, Lord,
But thou hast come and art everything,
And I am everything with thee.

Kiireisen rukous
Jeesus,
Minulla on koko ajan kiire jonnekin,
Ja silloinkin kun pysähdyn,
En pysähdy sinun eteesi.
Minne minä olen matkalla?
Minä olen matkalla vain sinun luoksesi,
Ja minun sydämeni tietää.
Rohkaise, Pyhä Jumala,
Istumaan sinun temppelisi portaille
Ja kuuntelemaan sinun sanaasi.
Amen.
Minulla on koko ajan kiire jonnekin,
Ja silloinkin kun pysähdyn,
En pysähdy sinun eteesi.
Minne minä olen matkalla?
Minä olen matkalla vain sinun luoksesi,
Ja minun sydämeni tietää.
Rohkaise, Pyhä Jumala,
Istumaan sinun temppelisi portaille
Ja kuuntelemaan sinun sanaasi.
Amen.
